At dinner tonight my mom started telling another story. As I've mentioned, she is not very good at this. I've changed some of the names to protect those who may or may not have been involved.
Mom: So Joe Gold's daughter was sleeping with Mike Sponik. And then you know Connie Britton, right?
Me: From Friday Night Lights and Nashvile?
Mom: Maybe. Or it was Katherine Smith's sister. Well he wasn't married. Can you believe that?
Me: Believe what?
Mom: That he was banging her!
Me: Mike Sponik was banging Joe Gold's daughter or Connie Britton?
Mom: No. Katherine Smith's sister.
Me: So what does Joe Gold's daughter have to do with this?
Mom: She was Mike's wife, I think.
Me: I thought he wasn't married...
Mom: Maybe he was. I don't know.
Me: Where is this story going and is there a point?
Mom: Well can you believe he died?
Me: Who died?!?
Mom: Mike Sponik died banging Katherine's sister. Isn't that crazy?
Me: I don't know! I have no idea what is going on and don't understand who is involved.
Mom: Well clean the crap out of your ears.
