Flying South for the Winter

Today starts Gigi's winter in Florida. Her boxes have been shipped, the dogs are being driven down, and she boards her flight at 10:05 a.m. today! Leading up to this moment has been a bit crazy, which was expected. Here are just a few reasons why:

1. She got the flu and couldn't pack.
2. She missed an important doctor's appointment because "they didn't call to remind" her. P.S. She doesn't answer her phone. Ever.
3. She packed a large suitcase, then put it inside a large box, and then shipped the box with the packed suitcase because it was "easier."
4. She arrives in Florida today, Thursday. Her clothes arrive next Tuesday. She wasn't going to bring any extra clothes with her for those few days...
5. She was supposed to be up and getting ready by 7:15 a.m. this morning. She was still asleep when my brother got there. Once out of bed she insisted on packing another suitcase. And then putting that smaller suitcase inside a larger suitcase with more items (even after my brother and his wife helped her repack the night before). 

I assume there will be more stories before she boards the flight and even more when my brother in Florida meets her at the airport. Stay tuned!
