While on safari in the Masai Mara we visited a Masai village. It was a brief encounter but we were able to buy some of the tribal-made products which you know Gigi loved. However, realizing she hadn't brought any money she first hit up her 20 year old grandson. That didn't work. She then noticed my sister-in-law go pull out cash and immediately ran over to her saying, "Oh, you have money. Can you buy this for me?"
Also, during our time at the village the tribe members invited us to join in on a ceremonial dance. Much of the dance included leaping and bouncing. After a good 20 minutes in the hot afternoon sun most of us had worked up a good sweat. When we finished Gigi proclaimed, "No wonder Kenyans run so much faster than us with all this jumping!" There you have it folks. The secret is out!
