Well folks it is just 3 days until we depart for Africa and Gigi is desperately attempting to pack light. Taking 33 pounds of luggage for 9 days isn't easy, I'll admit that! However, she decided that since her suitcase can only hold 30 pounds (no idea where she got that information) she could shove 40 pounds into it. I had to explain that it is still 40 pounds...
She also called my brother to express how happy she is that she is at 30 pounds! Then she mentioned she would jam everything else into her carry on. Let me remind you, we have to take a small prop plane that only allows each passenger a total of 33 pounds of luggage. That is all combined, not per bag. Gigi is not happy right now.
