It was the Saturday of my brother's wedding. A lovely, small event with just family there to celebrate. Everyone was to meet at 11am for the ceremony followed by a delicious brunch. Most of the family was staying at a hotel but living in the city I stayed at home.
As I sped down the expressway fearing I would be late, little did I know that I would be the first of my family to arrive. They all began to arrive shortly after me but my oldest brother, his son, and my mom were no where to be found. We soon received word that when they knocked on Gigi's door at 10:45am to depart she had just woken up and was still in her pajamas. Of course, this was not her fault as no one called or knocked to wake here... Please note that every adult staying at the hotel has their own children who they had to get moving.
The ceremony finally began when she arrived at 11:40. Clearly, 40 minutes is more than fashionably late. I'd say she must have set her clock to gay time but none of her watches have had batteries since 1995.
