As I mentioned in my previous post, my mom started having kids very shortly after getting married around the age of 22-23. She has admitted, and my dad confirmed, that when my oldest brother was young if he woke up too early they would put a cookie and a bottle in the crib and go back to sleep. I'm pretty certain she has also admitted to running to the store while my brother was asleep in his crib. "What?" she'd say with a shocked vocal inflection. "He had a bottle and food! He was fine. It was a different time."
Now it was 50 years ago but...
