A few months ago my sister was rear-ended with my mom and 8 year old niece in the car. Luckily, no one was seriously injured. Well, that's not true if you ask my mom. When the ambulance arrived she immediately started complaining about neck pains. Moments later she was given a neck brace strapped to a board. God I wish I could have seen that!
Not being the most petite woman in the world, the entire time she was waiting in the ER at the hospital she complained that the neck brace was, "not made for people with 3 chins." She also had my nieces asking her if she was going to pee the bed because she couldn't get up to use the bathroom.
The next day I was a good son and called to check in on her (I was even going to bring her dinner). Her response was, "I must have tried to stop myself from being thrown forward and hurt my baby toe somehow. It hurts so bad, I think it is broken." I'm sorry, I'm pretty sure I called to talk to the neck braced woman who was in the ER yesterday due to neck pains.
Outcome: She got another prescription for pain killers. Mission. Accomplished.
