2012 Pride Parade - Part 3

As I believe I've mentioned, prior to the parade this year I had a few people over. As part of the pre-parade festivities I treated my guests to vodka with mixers and mimosas. With my purchase of Effen Black Cherry I received a free sample bottle of Effen Cucumber. Loving the taste of cucumber my mom immediately popped off the top and took a sip.

About 10 minutes later we were standing in the kitchen arguing. "You are drinking straight vodka!" I yelled as I attempted to rip the bottle from her grasp. "No! It's mixed with cucumber!" she retorted. After explaining what infused with cucumber meant (I still don't think she fully understood) I was able to secure the bottle.

A few hours into the parade my sister and I decided to check and make sure mom was hydrating. That is when I found the empty bottle of Effen Cucumber. She also had a vodka cranberry that had sat in the sun for too long and the vodka had risen to the top. She said, "Yes, I've been drinking this water." Referring to to vodka separated cocktail.
